Muncietown Square is one of the premiere developments in Downtown Muncie Historic District and was the first new building constructed on Walnut Street in the past 25 years.

FLR developed the site plan, planting plan, and horticultural maintenance plan in 2010 and has been maintaining the site since that time.

Muncietown has diverse horticultural environments including streetscape elements, planters, entrance ways, and parking lot medians.

The Muncietown landscape design was focused around creating green space among downtown office buildings to brighten and beautify the urban area.
Natives, hardy perennials, hardy shrubs, and native shade trees were incorporated into the design to produce continuous bloom from March into November or even early December.

Horticultural techniques were used in this maintenance plan to increase the longevity and vitality of the planting beds while reducing the average weekly maintenance hours and costs.
