ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Also known as the one who keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. Whether it’s payroll, accounts payable, credit card expenses, or recording payments, Sherry ensures that the details are handled so the rest of the team can focus on their work.

With a BS in Accounting from Ball State University, Sherry built a 32-year career in finance and administration before joining FlatLand Resources in November 2023. Her experience includes five years as an auditor for the Indiana Department of Revenue and an impressive 27-year tenure at Ball State University, where she worked as Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable Manager, and Assistant Controller before retiring.

When it’s time to unwind, Hatteras Island in North Carolina’s Outer Banks is her go-to escape. With uncommercialized landscapes, fresh local seafood, and even the option to go horseback riding on the beach, it’s the perfect place to slow down and soak up the coastal beauty.

As the numbers person in the office, Sherry doesn’t find herself doodling much (besides an occasional person or shape). She’s the level-headed one of our bunch, but if she wants to get crazy, she’ll spend the night on 16th Street before the Indy 500. All she’ll say is, “it’s a bit crazy.”
