All the little projects they've done over time have improved the quality of life for people in the community. If FlatLand were to disappear tomorrow, I think a lot of those would stop. I don't think that there's anybody who could pick up and take off and keep those types of things going.

Funding can be a struggle in small communities, especially for a local government organization, and FlatLand's ability to make those projects happen with creative funding and provide their services at a level that can be affordable to local governments and nonprofits. . . that's huge.
